The Tulsa Drillers will host a Memorial Day-Military Appreciation Day on Monday, May 26 at Drillers Stadium. The Drillers will be hosting the Midland RockHounds in a game that will begin at 1:05PM. All active military personnel will be admitted to the game free of charge. In addition, all military veterans will be able to purchase tickets for half price, as will all family members of active and retired military personnel. The first 1,000 fans to enter the stadium will receive a special Defender of Freedom Challenge Coin from Sacrifice for Freedom. Sacrifice for Freedom is a Tulsa-based non-profit organization that is passionate about honoring the service of our military personnel. The Defender of Freedom Challenge Coins are a "tangible way to say thank you to those who defend our country's freedom every day." Challenge Coins are a prominent part of the Armed Forces and are given to "mark the moment" of significance in one's career. There will also be special pre-game ceremonies at the stadium and all soldiers and veterans will be recognized during the game. Stadium gates for this special game and event will open at 12:00PM.
